In September 2025, I reached out to six window companies (including several local Oakville companies) for quotes to replace twelve 30 year old windows in my house. The entire process was seamless, it took only six weeks from the order date to installation, and the crew completed the full job in just one day in November 2025.
The original windows were double-pane but lacked argon gas seals, and many had become difficult to operate. The upgrade to LoE 272 double-pane windows has been life-changing. My house felt significantly warmer last winter, particularly in the bedroom located above our unheated garage. For the last decade, my wife has relied on an electric blanket to get through cold winter nights. Last winter was the first time she didn't need it at all. I even tested the efficiency myself, when outside temperatures dropped to -10°C or -15°C, the new windows stayed 3°C to 5°C warmer than the remaining old ones.
The total cost for twelve windows was $11.5k (including taxes and a 30% discount), with a fair payment structure of $3.5k upfront and the balance due after installation. Great experience. I’d just moved into a new house and doing 18 windows fully was daunting and I was just calculating how much this would run me given I had so much left to do in the house. Roman came right away and took all the measurements and gave me a quote right away, explained their and showed their product. No pushiness or hyped sales tactics either. The install well mostly smooth with two small hiccups, one window came in the wrong size and another one came cracked, but it was resolved quickly afterwards. Roman is responsive and a straight shooter, unlike some of the other used car salesmen type reps I got quotes from, which was one of the reasons I decided to go with them aside from a reasonable price.
